HeroFixer: Terms of Use
Welcome to HeroFixer ("we", "our", "the Platform"). By accessing or using HeroFixer, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. About HeroFixer
HeroFixer is a digital marketplace that connects clients with vetted artisans and service providers ("Artisans"). HeroFixer does not provide repair services directly. All artisans are independent contractors, not employees.
2. User Eligibility
By using HeroFixer, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have legal capacity to enter a binding agreement
- All information you provide is accurate and truthful
3. Your Account
Users may create either a Client Account or an Artisan Account. You agree to:
- Keep your login credentials private
- Not share your password with any third party
- Take responsibility for all actions performed under your account
4. HeroFixer's Role
HeroFixer provides:
- Tools to connect clients and artisans
- Job request and booking features
- Secure messaging
- Ratings and reviews
- Dispute-resolution support
HeroFixer does not:
- Guarantee service outcomes
- Employ artisans
- Set prices (we only offer guidance)
- Take responsibility for artisan performance
5. Payments & Fees
For Clients
Payments are made directly to artisans via transfer, POS, or cash.
For Artisans
Artisans must remit a 10–15% commission per completed job (per job or weekly). Failure to remit may lead to suspension or removal.
6. Service Quality
All artisans are expected to:
- Maintain professional conduct
- Arrive on time
- Offer fair pricing
- Complete work as described
Poor ratings or verified complaints may lead to removal.
7. Ratings & Reviews
Clients may leave ratings after job completion. HeroFixer may remove reviews containing:
- Abusive or hateful language
- False claims
- Personal phone numbers or addresses
8. Cancellations
Client Cancellations
- Notify artisans early.
- Frequent last-minute cancellations may lead to restrictions.
Artisan Cancellations
- Notify clients as soon as possible.
- Frequent cancellations may lower rankings or result in suspension.
9. Disputes
HeroFixer may assist with mediation but is not responsible for damages, poor service, loss of property, or incomplete work.
10. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- Commit fraud or impersonation
- Harass or threaten anyone
- Request illegal services
- Avoid commissions by bypassing the platform
- Misuse member data
11. Intellectual Property
HeroFixer owns all:
- Logos and branding
- App and website design
- Content, images, and system workflows
Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Policy violations
- Fraud
- Commission evasion
- Harassment or abuse
13. Limitation of Liability
HeroFixer is not liable for:
- Damages caused by artisans
- Injuries or accidents
- Property loss
- Delays or cancellations
Use the platform at your own risk.
14. Changes to Terms
HeroFixer may update these Terms at any time. Continuing to use the platform means you accept the updated Terms.
